Strawberry Spinach Salad

Another strawberry dish for you guys while they’re still in season.   The strawberries will add a nice contrast in colour and taste to your next spinach balsamic vinegar salads.

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

6 cups spinach
20 sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon white wine Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

1. Mix spinach and strawberries in large bowl
2. With a blender, mix sugar, sesame seeds,paprika, and Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds.
3. Add oil and vinegar and blend until dressing is dark and smooth.
4. Pour dressing over salad and serve.

  1. I think the strawberries are really good in the salad and they’re especially good from the Farmer’s market.
