Strawberry Palova!

Strawberry Palova

A light refreshing desert courtesy of my friend Joyce.  This desert is great for dinner parties and BBQs!   The meringue is light with a crispy ouside and soft insides that almost melts in your mouth.  The creamy whip cream mixed with the sweet strawberries tops off the combination of flavours.

Ingredients:

4 egg whites
1 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp vinegar
2 cups whipping cream or cool whip
10 sliced strawberries

Instructions:

1.  Beat egg whites until foamy
2.  Add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time while beating slowly
3.  Add vinilla & vinegar and beat until mixture is stiff
4.  Place waxed or brown paper on a cookie sheet and spread mixture in a circle.
5.  Bake for an hour at 275 degrees.
6.  Turn oven off and leave meringue in oven overnight to dry.
7.  Spread the whip cream over the meringue
8.  Add Strawberries
