Meringue

My first attempt at making meringue.

A couple of days ago, a coworker brought in her home made meringue. It was so light, airy and crunchy. I incidentally fell in love with it. After stumbling upon a couple of tips and video demos, I decided to give it a try!

This is one of the most simple recipes I’ve ever followed.

You just need 2 egg white, a pinch of salt and cream of tartar, and sugar (depending on how sweet you want your meringue to be, I didn’t use that much). Mix all the ingredients and beat it until it’s fluffy and shiny. The next step is to dry it (not baking, yea just dry it) in 200F oven.

Although it didn’t come out with the perfect I want, I am still pretty satisfy with my first attempt.
