Gordan Ramsay’s Broccoli Soup – Recipe

Broccoli Soup

Saw this recipe on the Food Network a few months ago and it seemed so easy to make and too healthy to pass up.  The soup only has two major ingredients (broccoli & water), it’s cheap, and it’s tastes great!

Ingredients:

Head of broccoli (dark green in colour)
Salt for seasoning
Goats Cheese (optional)

Directions:

1. Boil a pot of water
2. Cut off the flourets from the head of broccoli
3. Add a dash of salt in the boiling water
4. Add the brocolli and season with salt again
5 Cook brocolli for 4 to 4.5 minutes
6. Take the pot off of the heat and use a strainer to collect the cooked broccoli into a blender but make sure you do not get pour away the water.
7. Add the boiled water to the broccoli in the blender filling half full
8. Blend again and season if necessary with salt and pepper.

    • That’s great! I’ve read a few negative reviews about the soup being too bland but I bet they’re just adding too much water during the blender portion of the recipe.

      It turns out well for me 🙂
