In my opinion, crepes have always been a novelty desert.  You usually find the most decorated crepes in specialty desert stores always filled with fresh fruit and topped off with chocolate syrup or icing sugar.   So it’s no wonder most people find crepes so intimidating to make and end up making boring pancakes instead.

Making your own crepes is easier than you think and you don’t even need one of those fancy crepe makers to do it.  Think about all the wild combinations you can come up with.

Here’s an easy recipe you can follow so have fun!

Ingredients:

2 eggs
half cup of flour
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 pinch of salt
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of oil  or tablespoon of melted butter

Directions:

1.  Mix all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Allow batter to rest for about 10 minutes.
3. Pre-heat non stick frying pan (heat level 7).
4. Pour a thin layer of the batter in the frying pan.
5. Tilt the frying pan until you get an even coat of batter.
6. Cook the crepe until you get a nice golden brown bottom then flip and repeat.
