Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a warning to the public on two brands of pretzels from President’s Choice and H.K. Anderson that contain hydrolysed vegetable proteins (HVP) that may contain salmonella.
These products contain hydrolysed vegetable protein manufactured by Basic Food Flavors, Inc. Las Vegas, Nevada. Basic Food Flavors initiated a recall of the hydrolysed vegetable protein due to Salmonella contamination.
