If you’re going to eat healthy it’s going to cost you and if you’re already on a budget eating healthy is the last thing on your mind.  These are both myths that prevent most of us from eating right, but in reality food isn’t that expensive if you know what you’re looking for and if you have the right ingredients you can cook almost anything.

You don’t have to break the bank to buy quality.  With a little preparation, some organization, and a some creative ideas you can kiss that tv dinner goodbye forever!

Some tips to help you out. Use as much or as little as you want.

1.   Plan out your meals as best as you can.
2.  When you prepare dinner make a some extra to bring to work the next day. You can even freeze it for a later time.
3. Set aside time in your day to make your own meals.
4. To save time, clean and cut your groceries right when you get home before loading your fridge.
5. Look up recipes and find coupons online (browse through our site).
6. Make sure you stock up on the staples when they’re on sale: rice, pasta, soups, broths, canned vegetables.
7. Don’t buy nice expensive meats for making soups and casseroles.
8. Buying bulk is good for cost savings and remember to freeze the items you won’t be able to eat right away.
9. Try not to eat out so much. You’ll save money and most likely save on the calorie intake as well.

Saving money and eating healthy is a constant battle and by the end of this article you’ll be more aware and more prepared for the task at hand. You’ll start to calculate the cash you’ll be saving by adopting a few of these tips and next thing you’ll know you’ll be looking great too!
