This year Harbourfront Centre’s Hot + Spicy Food Festival will begin in September instead of the usual August. Having missed the event last year, YL’ers will definitely join the crowd in a couple weeks for the taste bud challenge.
For those you who would also like to make some in-town plans for the Labour Day long weekend, check out some of the cool (or spicy burning hot?) events noted here, or the official website for all events and schedule.

10 Tastes to Try before You Die
Chef demos are always a hit in food fests. Especially this year we have TV chefs, chef/author, and other up and coming hip restos chef in the house! Let’s see if we can learn (and actually taste) a thing or two from the
10 NINE Tastes to Try before You Die chef demonstrations.
There are also The International Iron Chef Competition, free canoe rides, The Red Hot Marketplace, and a whole lot of music events for outdoor summer fun. This Labour Day long weekend, head south instead of north to experience something different!
